Situation
A world leader in the development, manufacturing, and sales of innovative materials used in the electronic assembly process has been a client since 1994. They approached MDF to assist them in reducing their cost while improving their overall distributor and sales force service levels. They had a variety of sales and marketing documents, but due to the recent economic climate, they have reduced their printing, so many of these were out of stock. In addition, many of these documents were subject to change, so there was a significant problem with obsolescence.
Solution
MDF worked with their Marketing Department to convert their documents to a PDF format so they could be produced as needed and would be available on-line for either viewing and/or download, or printed on our digital equipment. In addition, we are providing the ability for the general public to access the document and either download them or request a printed version. This class of user is also set up with a user name and password to track the usage and generate an interest lead for the field to follow up on. We also migrated their distributors and sales force from a paper-based method of ordering to our web-based ordering system.
