MDF ships to all countries except to any country currently under US embargo. MDF is familiar with the necessary documentation for international shipments and the paperwork that this entails, including commercial invoices, custom documentation, and bills of lading. Duties and taxes will be billed to your 3rd party account.

Most of our clients are global companies or regularly distribute to international addresses. Options are available for other methods of shipment depending on weight and location, such as container shipments, or U.S. Post Office. Additional methods are available if carriers that are not within your 3rd party agreements can be considered.

Utilizing the latest version of the well-known ClipperShip® software, we are able to provide a high level of automated service. This system enables us to use a wide variety of carriers, provide for third-party billing, and process shipments in an automated environment. All materials will be shipped by agreed method, with all relevant paperwork, export documentation when necessary. All postage is tracked for usage and reports provided. Our normal procedure is to hold Escrow against future postage and/or shipping. As discussed, third party billing is an established shipping method and is currently utilized for most of our clients.

UPS, FedEx, and DHL have additional insurance available on a sliding scale for a small fee. We can invoke this for you as part of our business rules.

Shipping and Handling
(a) Experience in domestic and foreign shipments
(b) Clippership® system accommodates all carriers and least cost routing
(c) Order form can list available shipping services for user to pick (such as Ground, 2-Day, or Express)
(d) Default shipping alternatives can be imbedded into the order system, with Business Rules to determine best way to ship
(e) 3rd Party billing encouraged. Shipments outside of that agreement (i.e. USPS) to be deducted from an escrow account funded by our client
(f) Allocation by responsibility and/or budget code available

 3rd Party Billing
The majority of our clients utilize third party billing. MDF’s ability to get discounted rates is affected by our client’s choices. We feel we do not have enough volume to get lower pricing for our clients.

We will send you a Monthly accounting of all shipping transactions and the specific carriers by date so that you can reconcile with your invoices. Shipments outside of that agreement (i.e. USPS) will be deducted from an escrow account funded by you.

Shipping

(a) Package Shipments - ship-to addresses, tracking numbers, method of delivery, weight, and cost of package
Products Shipped - by product, ship-to address, e-mail, phone, fax, date, and time of shipment

a) Postage a monthly accounting of all shipping transactions and the specific carrier
b) Organized by date
c) Can be organized by postal type and courier and type; some programming required
d) Costs are associated only when not 3rd Party Billing
Those costs are not available to us as a rule

It is standard to send an e-mail notification to the “ordered by” and/or “shipped to” addresses. MDF’s order system can be accessed 24x7, and a shipping log can be generated for any period of time that contains the same information. This can be used as a reference when needed, or downloaded into Excel, PDF, or Word, and printed out or e-mailed to others.
