MDF Goes Beyond
Making Communication Easier

A long-time client approached MDF to assist them with their communications to their overall distributor and sales force, and thereby improving service levels. They had a variety of sales and marketing documents, but due to the recent economic climate, they had reduced their printing. Many of these documents were dangerously low in stock or subject to frequent changes, so there was a significant problem with inventory.
MDF worked with their Marketing Department to convert their documents to a PDF format so they could be produced as needed and would be available on-line for either viewing and/or download, or printed on our digital equipment. In addition, we are providing the ability for the general public to access the document and either download them or request a printed version. We also migrated their distributors and sales force from a paper-based method of ordering to our web-based ordering system.
As a result, our client reduced inventory cost by making 98% of their marketing materials either available on line or printed on demand. They improved sales service levels by having critical documents available at all times and reduced fulfillment costs by eliminating the need to interpret and re-enter all literature orders.
Since MDF’s system enabled the user to check the status of their request on-line, and provided e-mail notification when the order shipped, it minimized customer service calls.
