MDF's Different Facets

Remember the parable of the Six Blind Men and the Elephant?

Each blind man touched a different part of the elephant
and thought he knew what the elephant was like.

- The first blind man grabbed the elephant's tail
and thought it was like a big rope.

- The next felt a massive leg
and was sure the elephant was a tree.

- The third blind man ran straight into the elephant's side thinking it was a big wall.

- The next blind man thought it was like a fan,
because he touched one of its ears,

- while the fifth blind man touched its trunk
and likened it to a big snake.

- The final man felt its pointed tusk
and thought the elephant was like a sword.

MDF is like the elephant, made up of so many different parts, that it is easy to “see” just the part that you interface with.

- If you only use MDF for mailings,
then we are like a mail house.

- If you use our on-demand digital document service,
then we are more like a printer.

- Those that only do Lead Management with MDF
see us differently than

- those who do their web-based fulfillment
or e-commerce business through MDF.

- We have been called a database management company, yet

- if you use MDF for projects such as collations or binder assembly, then you pigeon-hole MDF as a fulfillment house.

In truth, MDF is all of these and more,
once you get exposed to the “whole elephant”.
