MDF has a new client who ship nationally for Trade Shows for one of their clients. One of MDFs’ Client Service Representatives noticed that their shipping costs were extremely high, as they tend to ship 2 Day, overnight. The CSR on the account did some “shopping” for a particularly huge shipment to California, and another to Florida. UPS and FED X were triple the cost of sending the shipments via truck. The CSR contacted one of the shipping companies and was able to arrange shipping to both areas at 1/3 the cost of UPS and FED X, and about ½ the cost of Airborne. MDF saved the client over $1,800.00.
